I bought 10 yards of black crushed velvet from Joanns at an incredible discount. Originally $4.99 a yard but I had a 40% off coupon. So needless to say I want to make everything out of black crushed velvet and I knew what I'd do for the first piece. I really wanted a loose fitting babydoll dress for warm summer days so I took a pattern I copied from a friends dress, got rid of the sleeves, and sized it up for myself. The end result was just as I wanted. But it was missing something so I took some yellow and white daisies and sewed them on the collar for a smidge of color and 90's inspo.
Combining this dress with black lace leggings from my shop and leopard print high tops from forever 21 I felt like it was a fun outfit that was just my style. I look like I belong in the Pac Northwest back in 93'. Seattle baby.
